  Church is not a building, but is comprised of the people who attend. I love the people at "Salem" church and have been going there since 2009. There is love for one another and they try their best to live out their faith. There is no group anywhere on earth that is a "perfect" group of people, whether church, work, school, or your pool team.. We are all flawed and have our moments and that's what we all need to remember. It's all about grace and God has taught us the true meaning. We each need to practice it with onew another.
  
  The mission field and serving others is what we do, looking to Jesus as our example. They make disciples of their members. Salem is a shining example of serving others in many ways. Church staff are really wonderful, caring people.
  
  Their Vacation Bible School for kids is AWESOME! I love it! Bring your child and see for yourself how amazing it is!
  
  We got a new pastor when our pastor went to be with the Lord, then spinal problems kept me from being able to drive, so I have been unable to go to church much over the past 2 years. I live farther from the church than 99% of the folks that attend. There's also a new assistant pastor I'm not yet acquainted with, but I really like him so far.
  
  When the pastor talks about a part of the Bible she does it so beautifully that you feel a part of it and envision it. Her sermons and teachings of God's Word capture the heart. I have found myself envisioning myself "there" and tears of joy have coursed down my cheeks many times. It's not about Religion, it's about a Relationship.
  
  I go to the Informal service at 9:30 and usually wear jeans, which are just fine. I also love the music played and sung to at this service. It leans toward more contemporary, with a mix of beloved hymns.
  
  In case I forgot to mention it, I love the people of Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church!

  Great community programs. Great playground and ball fields for the kids. Walking trail. Best Easter eggs for sale seasonally. Very active, popular and busy church. We go elsewhere on Sundays mornings, but we support this great church as we can in several ways.
